German ambassador denied appointment with Kazulin
Iryna Kazulina, the wife of the Belarus's top political prisoner, has refuted reports that the German Ambassador in Minsk, Martin Hecker has been granted permission of the Belarus authorities to have an appointment with the jailed former presidential contender Aliaksandr Kazulin.
The media reported a wrong information, following the incorrect translation of her statement at the European Parliament, she said.
In her presentation in Brussels, Kazulina suggested that "it could be a good sign if the German ambassador could be allowed to meet Aliaksandr Kazulin." In fact, the authorities in Belarus have not yet issued such a permission.
