Germany makes changes to refugee law
The German government has approved a new bill on refugees that will make the rules of giving political asylum stricter. If the law is approved by the Parliament and comes into force, the inhabitants of Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia will not be able to ask for political asylum anymore because Germany has announced the countries safe.
Federal Minister of the Interior Thomas de Maizière has recommended creating a law that will allow the German authorities to make decisions about granting or refusing political asylum in a simplified way.
Any migrant whose story seems untrue should be detained at the border and deported, BBC quotes the Minister.
