“Group on Belarusian issue” may be created in European Union
The former Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affaires, deputy head of the Seim’s Commission of European Affaires Antonas Valensis has initiated the creation of “a group on Belasrauin issue” in the European Union. He noted in his interview with BelaPAN: “Now we have to think about a more successful policy of the European Union concerning Belarus.
It is necessary to create a group of experienced and influential politicians who could analyze the situation and suggest their ideas about a new, more effective policy concerning Belarus”.
According to the Lithuanian politician, Europe “understands the necessity of creation of such a group”. Valensis informed that the suggestion to become the leader of the group has been sent to a former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski.
