The suggestion can be found in the law of amendments to a number of codes considered by the House of Representatives.
Criminal responsibility for online thefts may start at the age of 14 in Belarus in the future. The suggestion is contained in the law on amendments to a number of codes (including the Criminal Code) considered by the House of Representatives now.
Head of the Supreme Court Valyantsin Sukala told journalists:
"The range number of crimes that can lead to criminal responsibility for persons aged above 14 may be expanded.”
Online thefts are very common and popular with minors nowadays, Sukala said. However, not all hackers can be punished because of their young age.
