Has Bakiyev’s son received temporary asylum in London?
Maxim Bakiyev, the son of a former President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev, received provisional asylum in Great Britain on June 18. A website “Russian News Service” informs about it referring to a legal company Carter-Ruck Solicitors. Maxim Bakiyev arrived in a small town of Farnborough situated not far from London by is private plane about a week ago. He was detained on June 14 and sent an application for political asylum in Great Britain while the provisional government of Kyrgyzstan headed by Roza Otunbayeva demanded to extradite him.
He was announced wanted by the Interpol on demand of the Kyrgyz police earlier.
