Heads of Homel United Civil Party affiliate are detained

The deputy head of Homel regional affiliate of the United Civil Party Uladzimir Katsora and the head of the local city organization of the UCP Andrei Touchyn have been detained in Homel today. The opposition politicians were accused of swearing at employees of the driving inspectorate. Andrei Touchyn was released after having given explanations. Uladzimir Katsora is waiting for a trial that may take place today.

Uladzimir Katsora (he is in Homel District Department of the Interior now) informed ERB about it.

“I was detained by driving inspectors and they drew up a protocol. They explained that I had insulted them and had been using bad language. As a result, they drew up an administrative protocol for “hooliganism”.
