Hearing of Alyaksandr Meh’s case about his detention at “Dazhynki” postponed again
Kobryn District Court has postponed the hearing of the suit of a BNF member Alyaksandr Meh about his illegal detention for the second time. Policemen simply did not appear in court.
Let us remind you that Mr. Meh was detained in the presence of his 12-year-old son in the square on September 19, 2009. Policemen used force to detain him because they suspected he was going to meet Alyaksandr Lukashenka with some weapon.
Mr. Meh has explained to ERB:
"Policemen were confused giving evidence and changed it during the hearing. They mentioned the time when they received the anonymous phone call in thier book. It turned out that one of the policemen managed to run 3.5 kilometers in a bit more than a minute. It is much faster than the world record, and I told the judge about it”.
The judge kept helping policemen with prompting during the interrogation, said Mr. Meh, so no wonder they managed to prepare a consistent detention scheme.
Alyaksandr Meh says that he has demanded a printout of phone calls.
The date of the next hearing has not been appointed yet.
