Hugo Chavez memorial to be built in Minsk
The former Venezuelan President will be immortalized in Kamennaya Horka District.
The memorial will be opened in September, BelTA reports. It will be situated in Hugo Chavez Park in Kamennaya Horka District in Minsk – at the intersection of Kazimirauskaya, Kalesnikava, Lidskaya and Kamennahorskaya Streets. The composition will be finished this week.
The memorial is a two-level circle. Three lanes will lead to it. A granite stone with a memorial plate will be installed in the centre of the ground that will be used for festive ceremonies in the future. Two flagpoles with the state flags of Belarus and Venezuela will be installed behind the stone.
Flowerbeds and barberries will surround the composition. A lane of 16 thujas will be planted on the second level. A staircase with a ramp will lead to the second level. Benches will be installed not far from the memorial.
