Human rights to be mentioned in the "Provider's Ethics Code"
The association "Belinfocom" has prepared a project "Code of Ethical Behaviour of Telecommunication Companies". The project is aimed at upgrading of relations between the telecommunication companies, based on the principles of fair competition, ethical advertising etc. This was informed by the Executive Manager of the Association Uladzimir Stauski, to European Radio for Belarus. Stauski: “In this project we reflected several points of global agreement, that concern human rights and labour relations”.
Stauski stated that separate unions and associations already had such codes. Other countries also have such experience. The project has a local character yet, but it should become global in future.
Stauski: “By now we have sent the project to our members - 17 organizations. If some companies working in the sphere of telecommunications find it reasonable to join - they are welcome”.
After the members of the association get acquainted with the project within a month, and provide their suggestions and comments, the project will become a document.
