Independent journalist summoned to Vitsebsk prosecutor's office over alleged media law violation
Journalist Uladzislau Staraverau has been summoned to Vitsebsk region prosecutor's office on December 10 "to give explanations about media law violations", reports Belarusian Association of Journalists The journalist was numerously detained by police when filming over the past several months. He is confident he did not violate the media law.
His latest detention took place on November 8, when Staraverau was filming the then potential presidential candidate Uladzimie Pravalski. The journalist was later relased without charges.
