Inefficient private breweries to be nationalized
Private breweries will be taken away by the state is they are loss-making or have low profitability, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said.
"You will make a report about the results of their work in 2015. All loss-making enterprises, especially the private ones, will be nationalized like Kommunarka and Spartak,” interfax.by quotes the Belarusian President.
A special regime of functioning and protection from the import flooding our country will be created for such plants, Alyaksandr Lukashenka added. “We will need only one day to deal with the statesmen and managers working there and with the Belpishcheprom concern and its heads,” the state leader warned.
Over 80% of the Belarusian brewing industry is privately owned, Lukashenka reminded. However, private entrepreneurs have not managed to ratchet the brewing industry upward, he said.
