Iran wants to build a nuclear power plant in Belarus
Iran is ready to bid for the building of a nuclear power plant in Belarus, if Minsk is to propose, said the Iranian ambassador in Minsk. The diplomat admitted that Belarus had a rich technological and scientific potential and was able to handle the nuclear power plant construction on its own.
Belarus backs Iran's nuclear program, having stated officially that it has the right to do so under the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
The Russian company Atomstroiexport, the one building a nuclear reactor in Iran, has already offered its services to Belarus.
