Iranian embassy driver to stand trial for drug smuggling
The 40-year-old Iran national will appear in Minsk's Kastrycniski District Court on charges of drug smuggling.
The trial on July 9 will be open to the public, reports interfax.by referring to the Supreme Court's spokesman Yulia Liaskova.
The Iranian citizen a residence permit in Belarus and worked as a driver at the Iranian embassy in Minsk. On March 8, 2014, he illegally brought 144 grams of opium and over 3000 tramadol pills to Belarus.
