Iranian oil reaches Belarus
The first batch of Iranian crude oil reached Belarus, reports BELTA quoting ONT TV channel. The oil was first shipped to the Black Sea port of Odessa in Ukraine and then carried in railway tanks to the refinery in Mozyr.
A sea tanker reached Odessa with oil for Belarus on March 22. It brought 80 000 tons of crude oil.
In late 2016, President Lukashenka ordered the government to diversify oil supplies to Belarus in order not to depend on only one supplier - Russia.
