A judge in Baranavichy
have thrown out a former opposition parliamentary candidate's libel suit
against the local state-controlled newspaper Nash Krai.

Charnavus charged that the paper distorted facts to cast him and his civic
activity in a negative light, and wanted the author, Mikalay Khudzenka, to
retract the allegations and apologize.
