Jury Bazan hopes to get "Autoradio" back
A preliminary court trial upon "Autoradio"s" claim took place today. Let us remind you, the radio station stopped broadcasting upon the decision of the Ministry of Information. The Ministry considered that the radio had changed the concept of their broadcasting due to their own wish and that there had been calls for extremist actions on air. The director of the closed radio station Jury Bazan has told live on air on Euroradio that there were no decisions today. This session defined the essense of the plaintiff's claims, and they also mentioned that some documents still needed to be collected to proceed with this case.
Jury Bazan does not expect this process to be easy. On the whole, the situation in the Belarusian radio broadcasting requires a court trial like this. Mr. Bazan is convinced that there are questions with regard to the use of legislation by the Ministry of Information, including the anti-extremist law.
Jury Bazan does not know how long the process will take. However, he is optimistic about its results. "I live and work in order to get "Autoradio" back on air.
