"Kalmary" band wins Belarusian music festival “Ambasovishcha”

The “Kalamary” band from Byaroza, Brest Region, has become the winner of the Belarusian music festival “Ambasovishcha”. Let us remind you that the festival took place in the residence of the American Ambassador in Raubichy, not far from Minsk, yesterday. The winner was selected by voting. 166 people out of 300 took part in it. 51 decided that “Kalamary” were the best. The second place was occupied by “Jahbibum” from Minsk Region and the third – by “Tlusta lusta” from Hrodna Region.

The US chargé d'affaires pro tempore in Belarus Jonathan Moor presented a portable DVD player to the band.

BelaPAN notes that it was the fourth festival of the kind. The programme was changed this year so that bands from the provinces could perform there.
