Last stage of Torch Relay has started
A short-track champion of Winter Olympics 2002 Yan Yan has started the Chinese stage of the torch relay in a resort city of Sanya in the southern province of Hainan, reports the official website of Beijing Olympics.
The relay started near a 49-meter high sculpture “Fire Phoenix” in Fenghuang connected with Sanya by a 390-meter long bridge.
The length of the Torch Relay in Sanya totalled more than 30 kilometers and more than 208 sportsmen and civil representatives took part in it.
