Latvian lawmaker dies in Minsk
Latvian lawmaker Alexander Golubev has died during his working visit to Belarus. Golubev arrived in Belarus as part of the delegation from the Latvian Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. He was found dead in the morning of May 19 in his hotel room. His colleagues told Euroradio that the politician died when he was sleeping.
The Hotel Minsk told Euroradio that forensic experts are investigating.
Alexander Golubev was vice chairman of the Center of Accord political faction. He was elected to every parliament in the history of the independent Latvia.
