Latvian official dies during hockey championship in Minsk
The tragedy occurred on the night for May 12.
Ilmars Melushkalns, 53, was a member of the Latvian Party of the Greens. The Lithuanian Embassy is helping his relatives to deliver the body home. The Latvian official was insured and his family will get compensation. No other details have been reported.
Thousands of Latvian fans have arrived in Belarus to attend the hockey championship, Delfi notes.
