Lithuania set to deny national visas to Belarusians
The Lithuanian Embassy in Minsk is scheduled on December 21 to begin issuing Schengen visas which will cost Euro 60. Nevertheless, up to 300 people today signed up for the visa queue.
Ambassador Edminos Bagdonas told the European Radio for Belarus that the consulate section was totally prepared to meet demand for Schengen visas.
“Previously, we had just five windows. Now we have ten".
National visas will be issued very rarely and only in exclusive cases. Tourists will not be able to apply for a national visa that will be issued to only 0.5 percent of applicants, according to the ambassador.
