Lugovoy: “All accusations are lies and provocation”
Andrey Lugovoy: “I cannot imagine who is behind Litvinenko’s death. But, of course, I have my suspicions.”
Businessman Andrey Lugovoy, one of the major suspects in the poisoning case of the former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko, has described all accusations against him as lies and a provocation.
Lugovoy gave his first interview after interrogations by the British investigators to the Sky News channel.
When asked about the possible assassin of Litvinenko, Lugovoy said: “I cannot imagine who is behind his death. But, of course, I have my suspicions.” But he would not elaborate.
The media reported over the weekend that the criminal case about the murder of the former officer of the Russian Security Service (FSB) Alexander Litvinenko could be closed by the British prosecutors because investigator said there was nobody that could be accused.
