Lukashenka advises people not to rush to currency exchange offices
The situation in the currency market will stabilize, Belarus president today said during his visit to Keramin plant in Minsk.
"You are rushing to currency exchange offices waiting for some devaluation. I advise you not to do it. Do not wait for it,” interfax.by quotes Lukashenka.
The authorities set ‘the main goal – to avoid any default’, the state leader noted. “We can see that the situation will stabilize, therefore, stop rushing,” Lukashenka added.
The demand for foreign currency has been exceeding the sale for five months on end in Belarus, Euroradio reported earlier. People bought almost $380 million in October.
