Lukashenka allows Russian politicians to use his name
The Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka has nothing against the use of his name in political campaigns in Russia. He informed about it during his visit to the Belarusian metallurgic plant on Friday, - reports “BelTA”.
“It testifies to the fact that the President is a great authority abroad”, - said Lukashenka to journalists. – If it does not help Belarus, it will certainly do no harm to it either, let them use it”.
As it was reported earlier, the Central Committee of the CPRF informed that the party was going to use the images of the leader of Cuba Fidel Castro, the Venezuelan President Ugo Chavez and Alyaksandr Lukashenka in its election campaign to the State Council of the Russian Federation.
In his turn one of the founders of the party “Great Russia” Andrei Saveliev also known as one of the organizers of the “Russian March” told journalists that Alyaksandr Lukashenka would be officially invited to become the leader of the party because “he was not cringing before the West”. A Russian movement “Lukashenka 2008” has also announced the idea of making Lukashenka a presidential candidate in Russia in 2008.
