Lukashenka foresees complications at Supreme Eurasian Economic Council
The Belarus president is convinced there will be many arguments when preparing the Eurasian Economic Union agreement.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has discussed the CIS summit and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council that are taking place in Minsk on October 24-25, with the head of the Presidential Administration Andrei Kabyakou and Belarus' representative at the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission Syarhei Rumas.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has turned attention to the fact that rather complicated issues will be discussed at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. "Moreover, these are the most complicated issues as some of them are still at the elaboration stage in connection with creating the Eurasian Economic Union, which, according to our plans, should start functioning since January 1, 2015," he said.
Apart from that, Alyaksandr Lukashenka has asked about the preparation of contents of the Eurasian Economic Union agreement. "I think there will be many arguments as it concerns the economic, financial interests of the states-members of the Customs Union, and big politics as well," the head of state noted.
