Lukashenka to Medvedev: We need some positive signals
A meeting of the Belarusian and Russian leaders Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dmitrii Medvedev is taking place in Moscow today. It started with the discussion of consequences of the world financial crisis. Lukashenka noted that the Belarusian economy was attached to Russia and almost half of gold and currency reserves were in Russian roubles. That is why he would like Medvedev “to give advice about the way of development”, informs “Interfax”.
The leader of our country also thinks that “there should be some positive signals” in the bilateral Belarus-Russia relations, so, some statement will probably be made after the meeting in Moscow.
