Lukashenka: Ministry of Health should admit mistakes
People are complaining that the Ministry ‘is not doing what it should’, the President claimed.
The Ministry of Health should admit that the new drugstore rules are a mistake if it is necessary, Alyaksandr Lukashenka told Minister of Health Vasil Zharko on December 9.
The Ministry of Health should have informed people about the innovation in advance, the Belarusian President said. “You should have told people about the innovation in advance! It should not happen when people have already started assaulting drugstores and polyclinics,” BelaPAN quotes Lukashenka.
People are complaining that the Ministry ‘is not doing what it should’, the Belarusian President said. Lukashenka asked doctors and the Information-Analytical Centre of the President’s Administration to conduct a survey to analyse the situation.
People’s attitude the the innovation is very negative, Lukashenka noted. Furthermore, it happened right before the season of epidemics.
The innovation introduced in September is just a continuation of the order of 2012, Vasil Zarko said. Not a single medicine has been added on the list. The only change is the requirement to keep recipes in drugstores for a month. The consumption of medicines is increasing, the Ministry of Health reports. A lot of medicines are sold without recipes, specialists think.
