Lukashenka promises to cut off hands of KGB members getting engaged in business

Alyaksandr Lukashenka chastised KGB and demanded it to get new staff members this year. The leader of the country introduced the new leader of KGB, major-general Yuryi Zhadobin to Belarusian KGB members. “You must dismiss those who should have already gone into retirement during this year”, - told Lukashenka to the new KGB administration.

According to Lukashenka, the state security system works only in case of emergency while in other periods KGB members “do not know what to occupy themselves with” and “have turned into shepherds”. He mentioned the low level of professionalism of JGB members that leads to “evident failures”.

“The whole country knows what KGB knows… That is why it is necessary to change the administration of KGB”, - he noted.

Lukashenka also commented on the beating of the head of the State Control Committee Zyanon Lomats. He confirmed that KGB members committed that crime.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka claimed that he will not tolerate the fact that “high rank officials would have to look around while walking in the street and would be afraid of taking decisions”. He also commented on corruption in KGB.

According to Lukashenka, corruption in KGB exists only “among colonels and generals”. The leader of the country hopes that Zhadobin will establish order in the organization.
