Lukashenka, Putin to meet on November 22

"We should fear such a huge monster as Russia can swallow Belarus. But we do not fear that," said Aliaksandr Lukashenka at a news conference in Minsk when asked about the Belarus-Russian relations. According to Lukashenka, there has been nothing new and positive [in relations between the two countries], somewhat more negative things."

The Belarus leader said he will meet with Vladimir Putin on November 22 to discuss the ongoing row in the energy and agrocultural sectors. "We will discuss these issues and find a solution... We will try," said Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

He also noted that "from time to time, there are problems at the borders (that are non-existent) with the transportation of Belarusian goods."
