Mahilyou entrepreneurs organize spontaneous protest action (photo)
About 20 entrepreneurs protested against Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s decree #222 in Mahilyou Vilenski Market on January 5. The action was spontaneous. The police were not present, Our Mahilyou reports.
The protesting businessmen asked the authorities to suspend the decree because it was making them unemployed.
The obligatory certification of light industry goods is impossible, the action participants think. Nobody gives any documents in Moscow wholesale centres and even if they do, the documents are false. Working with Belarusian goods is unprofitable because they are expensive and uncompetitive.
Entrepreneurs were obliged to get certificates for light industry goods imported from the Customs Union on January 1, 2016. As a result, a great number of private entrepreneurs have stopped working all over Belarus.
