Makei: Belarus is interested in close cooperation with Council of Europe
Bulgarian Minister for Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov is visiting Belarus now. He met with his Belarusian counterpart Uladzimir Makei on April 11.
The Ministers discussed the future and prospects of the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, the MFA press service reports. Belarus and Bulgaria agreed to enhance cooperation in all spheres, especially in tourism. Most attention was paid to the cooperation in international organizations including the Council of Europe where Bulgaria is presiding in the Committee of Ministers.
Makei: “Belarus is interested in the organization of close cooperation with the Council of Europe. We believe that this is one of the most influential European organizations having great potential in a number of spheres. We are also planning to develop active cooperation in the parliamentary sphere.”
