Malady Front members clash with police

Youth activists clashed on Saturday with police in Orsha where they planned to stage unofficial celebrations of the Day of the Belarusian Military Glory, opposition politician Pavel Sevyarynets told the European Radio for Belarus.
When police blocked a van that was carrying 9 members of the Malady Front, some of the youngsters attempted to get off the vehicle.

Seviarynets said one of the police officers had his hand scratched during the clash. Dzianis Sadouski, an organizer of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, was also hurt. Both the police officer and Sadouski are getting treatment in a local hospital.

Police have sealed off the field where the famout Orsha Battle took place 493 years ago. Youngsters are trying to break through, but police use force to put them into buses and take them to Orsha. Some activists have been returned several times.
