Man killed by Ukrainian policeman buried in Hantsavichy
48-year-old Mikalai D. who died in Ukraine while trying to rob a jewelry shop has been buried in Hantsavichy.
The incident occurred in Krivy Rog (Dniepropetrovsk Region) at the beginning of May. The inhabitant of Hanstavichy and his accomplice entered a jewelry shop “Golden Fleece”, tied the shop assistant and started gathering their “plunder”. However, the alarm system went off and the police arrived at the spot. The robbers tried to escape from the shop and even to take away a policeman’s gun. The policeman started shooting in response to it and wounded one of the men to death while the other robber managed to escape.
According to “Hantsavichy Time”, the criminal past of the deceased was not recalled during the funeral – people talked about his good personal qualities.
