Manifestation of Nyaklyayeu’s adherents in Minsk
A manifestation of adherents of presidential candidates Andrei Sannikau and Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu is taking place in Minsk. It is aimed at agitation and is used to demand additional air-time for alternative presidential candidates. Up to 150 participants of the action gathered hear the Academy of Sciences at 5 p.m. They walked along Independence Avenue towards Yakub Kolas Square. Participants of the manifestation are holding posters demanding additional air time for alternative candidates and flags of civil campaigns “Tell the truth!” and “European Belarus”.
Policemen warned them that the meeting was unauthorized. However, a representative of Andrei Sannikau Yauhen Afnahel claimed that Minsk City Executive Committee had listed only the places were agitation was forbidden. According to him, agitation is allowed in any other place.
Demonstrators have crossed Yakub Kolas Square and are walking along Minsk streets now.
Policemen are not trying to interfere in the action, informs BelaPAN.
