Medicolegal investigation shows no evidence that Aleh Biabenin's death was violent
Medicolegal investigation found no evidence that the death of the journalist Aleh Biabenin was violent. The reason for his death is suicide. This was informed by RIA Novosti with a reference to the Public Prosecutor of the Dziarzhynski district Siarhej Kauryha.
According to him, "no damage was found on the body except from the strangulation trace". Kauryha added that the Public Prosecution would investigate the fact of the journalist's death further. General Public Prosecution joined the investigation.
Let us remind you, that Aleh Biabenin was 36 years old. He graduated the faculty of journalism of the Belarusian State University. In 1990s he worked as a Deputy Chief Editor of the independent newspaper "Imia" ("Name"). Since 1998 he became the founder and curator of the web-site charter97.org.
The journalist was outlived by his wife and two sons.
