Metropolitan Philaret is acquainted with “sectarian” Mun just like Shushkevich is
ERB has managed to get photos in which you can see the head of the Belarusian Orthodox Church meeting the leader of the influential “sect”.
The Belarusian television accused Shushkevich of being an adherent of the sect and of having regular contacts with its leader San Men Mun in the Sunday news programme.
The former speaker of the Supreme Council does not deny he is acquainted with the Korean but he claims he has nothing to do with Mun’s preaching.
“Yes, I did participate in conferences in Moscow, Seoul and New York. The head of the commission of the House of Representatives Ihar Katlyarou attended one of those conferences. A former British Prime Minister Edward Hit, Lech Wałęsa and Mihail Gorbachyov also took part in them…” — noted Stanislau Shushkevich adding that even Metropolitan Philaret met Mun at such conferences.
