Milinkevich urges Cuba to free political prisoners
Belarusian politician Alexander Milinkevich has sent a letter to Cuban President Raul Castro, calling on the government of this country to free Cuban political prisoners. In an interview with the European Radio for Belarus, Milinkevich said that he was very well aware of the situation in Cuba or the so called "freedom island", although he had never traveled there:
"I know the situation in Cuba very well. I had numerous meetings in various countries with the Cubans who fight for freedom. I think it is my moral duty to support the people who are suffering from the dictatorship in Cuba".
Milinkevich would not rely on the postal service to deliver his message to Raul Castro. The leader of For Freedom movement did it with the help from his friends and partners in European countries. It was Milinkevich's contribution to the international campaign of solidarity with Cuban political prisoners.
