Minsk activist fined for anti-Russia poster (video)
Minsk Central District Court has considered Volha Zhuraulyova’s case today.
Volha went to October Square with the poster Death to Kremlin occupants on the evening of May 29. The woman and her little son were detained by the police and let off later.
Volha Zhuraulyova told Nasha Niva after the trial:
"I do not like the Kremlin’s policy and the fact that Moscow is engineering a massacre in Ukraine. Furthermore, the Eurasian Economic Union agreement was signed on that day… I want my country to be friends with all countries including Russia but I want it to be independent… That is why I decided to say that somebody had to do something in our country.”
The picket participant was fined for Br750 thousand.
