Minsk City Executive Committee sends action dated for Freedom Day to Bangalore Square
Minsk City Executive Committee has allowed democratic organizations to conduct an action dated for the Freedom Day on March 25. However, it has made some changes it its scenario.
The head of Minsk affiliate of the BNF party Victar Ivashkevich has informed ERB that the organizers planned to walk from the Academy of Sciences towards Yanka Kupala Park to conduct a meeting there. But the city authorities have suggested conducting the meeting in Bangalore Square.
According to Ivashkevich, the time and venue have not changed – near the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences at 6 p.m. “We will decide how to continue the event there,” – he added.
As ERB has already informed, the leader of BNF Alyaksei Yanukevich noted that the actions of the organizers would depend on the number of people at the meeting and their mood. He claimed it at a press conference on March 18. He also promised that nobody will make people walk towards Bangalore Square.
