Minsk's recommendations on Abkhazia vex Moscow

Moscow has been vexed by Minsk's recommendation that Belarusians traveling to Abkhazia and South Ossetia abide by Georgia's law, RIA Novosti quoted a Kremlin source as saying.   Unlike Western countries, Belarus did not immediately deny recognition to the provinces, the official stressed.

Belarus' foreign ministry on July 22 issued a statement to warn Belarusians of Georgia’s regulations regarding foreigners’ stay in the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The statement caused an angry reaction in Russia.
