More than 350 contenders nominated for parliamentary election in Belarus
359 contenders have already been nominated for the parliamentary election, BELTA refers to the Central Election Commission.
Most people have been nominated in Minsk – 80. Election committees have received 452 packs of documents from potential candidates. Meanwhile, there are only 110 vacant seats in the House of Representatives.
The nomination of contenders will end on August 1. The registration will finish on August 11. The pre-election agitation will be conducted until September 10.
The election is appointed for September 11.
