MPs propose alcohol ban during mass events
The House of Representatives's Commission for Human Rights, Ethnic Relations and Mass Media is set to recommend for the parliament's session agenda the issue on amendments to the law on mass events.
According to Commission Chairperson Ina Baryeva, this decision is planned to be taken on October 24, reports Belapan.
The draft amendments propose that while applying for the permit to stage a mass event, organizers will have to report their nationality and the date of birth.
In addition, the sales of any alcoholic beverages will be banned in the radius of 500 meters off the event's site two hours before and two hours after the event. Presently, the sales of alcohol is banned only during a mass action.
