New living wage approved in Belarus
The Belarusian government has approved a new living wage for the period of August 1 – October 31 2007. The Council of Ministers informed that the budget was 185 thousand 360 BRB per person.
The living wage has increased by 6 thousand 260 BRB. It is about 204 thousand BRB for able-bodied citizens, 162 thousands for pensioners and 195 thousands for students.
The approved living wage is bigger than the old one by 3.5%. It means that the national assistance to families with children and social pensions will increase according to it.
