New oil field uncovered in Belarus

Belarus has uncovered a new oil field in the Zlobin district (Homiel region) in the south of the country. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Protection reports that the new reserve could yield 350-800 thousand tons of oil, according to preliminary estimates. The figure is likely to be adjusted after the trials are complete.
Euroradio reported earlier one more oil field was uncovered in the Homiel region in early January. It was named Vuhalski. The field is estimated to yield 1 million 695 thousand tons of oil.
