New sanitary rules in force at schools since September 1
New sanitary rules aimed at preserving of the pupils' health are in force in Belarusian schools since September 1, informs the portal TUT.by. According to these rules, each sink at school should have hot water and liquid soap. Desks are recommended for use in primary schools instead of tables and chairs, which spoil the young children's posture. Staff of school canteens are now obliged to wear rubber gloves. Sales of flour and sweet products in canteens will be limited.
Moreover, physicians claim it is necessary to equip each classroom with the so-called counters - places for pupils with posture problems. If a pupil feels that his back hurts during a lesson, he or she can stand at the counter and write standing up.
