Next hearings on Belarus nuclear power plan to take place in Kiev

The project of the Belarusian nuclear power plant will be discussed in Kiev on March 31. Similar hearings took place earlier in Astravets, Vilnius and Riga. When in Kiev, the authors of the project will fail to prevent environmentalists from speaking out against the planned construction, Andrei Azharovsky, an epxert with the Public Ecological Expertise told the European Radio for Belarus. In Riga, Latvia the Belarusian delegation from the Ministry of Environment insisted that members of the public be not allowed and the consultations took place behind the closed doors.
