No TOEFL exam in Belarus?
The Minsk-based office of the American Center for Education and Research Inc. has fallen a latest victim of the "cold war" between Belarus and US. The organization said at the official web site: "Effective from May 28, 2008, the representative office of American Center for Education and Research, Inc. in Belarus terminates its operations". Belarus Partisan reminds that this organization has assisted for many years Belarusian schoolchildren, college and graduate students to get education opportunities in Europe and US.
The closure of the office has jeopardized the annual ETS tests -- TOEFL, GRE and SAT -- necessary in order to enroll with universities around the world, including several Russian universities. These tests were organized by the staff of the American Center for Education and Research.
