Number of supporters of integration in Belarusian society is decreasing
Sociologists have registered a great decrease of integration sentiments in the Belarusian society.
According to the survey conducted by Vilnya Independent Institute of social, economic and political research in September, the number of supporters of integration with Russia or the European Union is decreasing and has set a new record in the observation period.
33.8% of people are for the eastern vector of integration and 29.9% are for the western one. 12.5% of the pollees are in favour of integration with Poland (63.5% are against it).
The poll also discovered that two thirds of the pollees were against using the experience of the West. The majority of Minsk inhabitants wanted Belarus to move neither to the West nor to the East.
