Official: Web-based retail trade amounts to $13mn
The total volume of the web-based trade in Belarus is estimated at $13 million, Aleh Pralyaskouski, the director of the Information and Analytical Center at the Office of the President said in statement. 700 officially registered e-shops operate in Belarus, with 100 new shops being registered annually, he said. Some Internet-based shops have a monthly turnover of $300,000. Previously, they specialized in selling computers as well as spares for electronics, audio and video appliances. Today, they tend to expand their focus to construction materials, motor parts, toys and other, reports Belta.
