Opera and Ballet Theatre celebrates 80th anniversary
The National Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre is hosting festive events dedicated to its history today.
On May 23, 1933 the State Opera and Ballet Theatre was founded on the basis of the Belarusian Opera and Ballet Studio. Today's Grand Theatre features a diverse repertoire with about 60 operas and ballets performances The world opera classics and the performances of the local composers are broadly presented in the program.
The new theater season will soon offer to the public another significant national project - ballet "Prince Vitaut", composed by Vyachaslau Kuznyatsou, choreography by Yury Trayan, 1st TV-channel reports.
